Community Composed Tacoma Tribute Poem

Tacoma is a powerful city. It is creative, diverse, and authentic. Tacoma deserves a poem, and now, it has one.

To commemorate the 133rd anniversary of Tacoma - November 12, 2008 - Speak Your Soul has collected
words and phrases from community members and combined them into a single Spoken Word poem that celebrates Tacoma.

Below you will find the "Community Composed Tacoma Tribute Poem," called "Tacomaellenium," compiled and performed by Zach Street, but written with the words of 50 citizens and friends of Tacoma. This truly is a collage of voices that exemplifies the diversity of history and experience of this authentic and powerful city. In fact, when the years of life in Tacoma from all contributors is added together, it totals to just over 1000 years: a Tacomaellenium.
