Marshall Zar
Marshall Zar is a spoken word artist whose poetry is thriving on the island of Hawai'i. He began performing spoken word poetry with Urban Word NYC in 2003 while also participating in New York’s open mic scene and is now hosting a poetry and music event on the second Friday of the month in Pahoa. His poetry is a dynamic fusion of satirical shrewdness combined with a gratitude for beauty, which reflects the dualistic human condition. His recorded hip-hop music, that is an extension of this unique creative expression, can also be listened to online. Contact Marshall.
