Tacoma Little Theater
Thursday, August 13
7:30 PM
*The performance represents a 20 minute excerpt from the full 30 minute presentation of Projectiles
Projectiles was co-created by every cast member and the works are the product of each partner as playwright, poet, performer and dramaturg. The piece, which explores how people project imagined bias and traits to others in fragile isolation, continues to evolve and is likely to morph and expand over time.
Projectiles was created by the 253 Collaborative until they realized that a group of visual artists were already calling themselves The 253 Collective. The 253 Collaborative, however, reserves the right to change its name in the future and is considering a variety of names including

The Cast/Co-Writers
Lucas Smiraldo—Love in Soul
Luke called the collaborative together and has performed at many commissioned events including a recent Call to Conscience Black History Event at the Museum of Glass and at the Tacoma Little Theater’s Second Stage, where Projectiles debuted in May of this year. His choreo-theater piece, Voice of the Americas was recently reprised with a six member cast at Peace Lutheran Church a year after its launch with an eleven member cast at the Broadway Center’s Theater on the Square with a seed grant from the Tacoma Arts Commission.
Johnnie Pratt—Angel
Johnnie is a theater, dance artist and performing poet with San Francisco credentials and a one man, Broadway bound show in his head. That show will begin its trek here in the Pacific Northwest soon.
Julie Davidson Gomez—Lady Namaste
Julie has participated in comedy improvisation and makes her living by day as professional life coach, experienced facilitator and non profit consultant. Compared to the stakes at a statewide conference, performing on stage is a joy and a piece of cake. This marks Julie’s debut as a theatrical writer of original material.
Elijah Muied—The Messenger
Also know as “Six Deep” Elijah is in process of launching an original cd with music and is co-host of Speak Your Soul Tacoma at Vinum Wine and Coffee Lounge. Six Deep recently performed at a black history Independence Day event and was a featured artist at Festival Sundiata at the Seattle Center.
Keith Blocker—Prophet
Keith is a founding member of 2012 a hip hop performance and artistic youth mentorship organization. He is currently pursuing a degree at The University of Puget Sound where his work in Projectiles has led him to enroll in his first theater course at the school in September.
Noah Prince—Beautiful Boy
Noah Prince is also a co-founder of 2012 and has been involved in the hip hop and social justice movement from the time he spit his first verse. He is a staff member of the College Success Foundation, works extensively with youth, and has an interest in both performance and producing.
