Distinguished Writer Series and Open Mic.

This monthly event features a Distinguished Writer and an Open Mic for poets. This month features Rena Priest. Open Mic sign-up is at 6:30 pm. Admission is free. The event occurs monthly the second Friday of every month at King's Books. Sponsored by the Puget Sound Poetry Connection and the Tacoma Arts Commission.

Rena Priest is a poet and printmaker living on the fringes of New York City. She has been a featured reader in the Perfect Sense Reading Series, the At-Large Mixer, and the Graduate Reading Series at Cornelia Street. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and is presently completing her first full-length book of poems.
