First and foremost, thank you.
Thank you so much to everyone who has come and packed out the theater so far to come see the show. We sold out both nights in April. We had to add 11 seats on our last night on the 16th and won an extended run in the theater, which we have decided to decline.
So the "MAN UP" show on Wednesday, May 6th will be the FINAL staging of the play.
For those who wanted to come/said they would/tried to and couldn't make it in April, please join us on May 6th.
For those who have already seen the play - come for an encore. Or do something invaluable to our efforts to get the word out and give us a great recommendation to your friends, co-workers, and family. Feel free to send out the info below to your list-serves, post to your blogs, and spread the word widely. This has always been a grassroots, team effort. I deeply appreciate all of the ways in which people have already gone out of their way to spread the word about the show. Thank you so much for the generosity and support.
much love,
Carlos

What does it mean to be a “good man” in a world where “masculinity” is confined by the narrowest of definitions? Pushing up against the boundaries of who he thinks he is, Carlos Andrés Gómez takes the audience on a gritty, raw and often hilarious trip through sexuality, cultural identity, family relations, fears and dreams in an effort to discover the meaning of “good man”.
"…A monologue exploring the powerful and beautiful things that can define manhood, Carlos Andres Gomez is a must-see. In a series of short biographical narratives punctuated by poems, we glide headlong into some of the crucial decisions a man had to make in his life… dire and… inspiring." 5/5 stars-Bernie Greenwood, Hairline Magazine (UK)
