PLEASE NOTE: The Tacoma Speak Your Soul Open Mic has moved to The Den, inside Urban Xchange on Pacific Ave. We hope you will join us at our great new location.
Join us August 6th, and every 1st Friday of the month, for an open mic and featured poet from Speakyoursoul.org or the Tacoma community. We will begin at 8pm; open mic sign-ups will also start at 8pm. The open mic is open to all styles of poetry, especially poems intended to build a better world.

"Volcano Poetry Slam" emceed by spoken word artist Kimberly Dark.
This high-energy, audience-judged poetry competition is open to the public, both as audience members and participating poets. First time and returning poets with new material are welcome. Up to 15 poets can compete, with poets chosen by lottery that evening at 7 p.m. sharp. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 finalists. Five judges are chosen from volunteer audience members.
Every 3rd Friday off the month Ka Huina offers a poetry open mic from 7-8pm. All poets welcome. Hosted by Tomas Belsky.
