Celebrate National Poetry Month with a Poetry Slam at UH Hilo, hosted by Zach Street.
Starting @ 5pm on the Campus Center Plaza, there will be food and a casual writing workshop tp help get your creativity flowing.
Then @ 6pm, it's time to Slam!
Zach will host a traditional poetry slam open to UH students & the whle community. There will be points, prizes and lots of poetic talent.
Come to the Free Ya Mind open-mic night at Tully’s Coffee at 9th and Broadway in downtown Tacoma. Every Last Friday of the month from about 7:00pm to about 9:30pm.

Update: The Speak Your Soul open mic in Hilo has moved to Surf Break Cafe on Kino'ole Street in Downtown.
Join us May 7th for an open mic and featured poet from Speakyoursoul.org or our Hawai'i Island community. We will begin at 7pm; open mic sign-ups also start at 7pm. The open mic is open to all styles of poetry, especially poems intended to build a better world.
