In celebration of the 8th anniversary of Art at Work: Tacoma Arts Month, the Tacoma Arts Commission is hosting an Art Slam on Wednesday, November 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rialto Theater in downtown Tacoma.
Come to the Free Ya Mind open-mic night at Tully’s Coffee at 9th and Broadway in downtown Tacoma. From about 7:00pm to about 9:30pm.

Final Reading of Poets Collected in the Anthology In Tahoma's Shadow to Take Place Thursday, November 5, at King's Books
The last of three readings showcasing the work of poets collected in the recently published anthology In Tahoma's Shadow will be held at 7 p.m. this Thursday, November 5, at King’s Books, 218 St. Helen’s Avenue, Tacoma. The event, which is being held in conjunction with the Tacoma Arts Commission's Art at Work month, is free and open to the public.
Join us November 6th for a special Speak Your Soul event @ Ka Huina. In order to support and participate in Hilo's annual Black & White Night on the 6th, we will be temporarily moving from our usual spot at Kope Kope to Ka Huina's Downtown location.

On Saturday, November 14, 2009, PSPC presents the 3rd Annual Poetry Marathon at King's Bookstore. It's a huge day filled with a diverse line up of talented, fine poets sharing their poetry from around the South Sound region and beyond.
