Featured Poets for October 9: Eric Batts
Zach Street will be performing at UH Hilo's "Take Back the Night" event on October 13th at the UH Hilo Campus Center Plaza.
The event will begin at 5pm and Zach will perform @ 6pm.
Take Back the Night highlights the problem of violence against women as well as the broader issues of sexual violence.
UPDATE: This event has been canceled but will resume again on November 20th.

In celebration of the 8th anniversary of Art at Work: Tacoma Arts Month, the Tacoma Arts Commission is hosting an Art Slam on Wednesday, November 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rialto Theater in downtown Tacoma.
Come to the Free Ya Mind open-mic night at Tully’s Coffee at 9th and Broadway in downtown Tacoma. From about 7:00pm to about 9:30pm.
