This monthly event features a distinguished writer and an open mic for poets, playwrights, short story writers, and others. This month features the Open Mic, sign-up at 6:30 pm. Admission is free. The event occurs monthly the second Friday of every month at King's Books. Sponsored by the Tacoma Arts Commission and the Puget Sound Poetry Connection.

Speak Your Soul on Hawai'i Island.

On Friday, August 14th @ 7pm, some of Hawai'i Island's most talented Spoken Word poets will perform at Kope Kope Espresso in Hilo. There will also be live music, guest performers, and an open mic.

Speak Your Soul exists to build a better world through Spoken Word - and August 14th will be an evening of community connections, inspiring poetry & a catalyst for positive, powerful change.
